The comment feature is a great way to stay connected with your blog followers. You will always see a comments tab at the bottom of a post. When you click on comments you are able to type a comment. I would highly recommend that you encourage your parents to comment on your blog posts. In my classroom, the students and I refer to it as our "mail." They love it when they get to check for mail on our blog.
Another element to comments that I would recommend you do is putting comment monitoring on your blog. You can set that up by clicking on the settings tab bar and then click on the sub tab comments. Once there you will have the ability to enable comment monitoring.
